Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Assists mechanics with maintenance and repair of geothermal plant equipment.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision (disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly.
• Support preventive maintenance programs according to plant schedules.
• Assist with pump, motor, gearbox, and valve repairs.
• Help maintain geothermal brine and steam piping systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of mechanical rooms and maintenance areas.
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined space safety procedures.
• Observe and report equipment abnormalities such as leaks, unusual vibration, or overheating.
• Assist during plant outages and turnaround activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records as directed.
Must meet minimum requirements:
• Basic understanding of mechanical tools and equipment.
• Ability to read gauges and follow written instructions.
• Familiarity with industrial safety practices.
• Ability to work in high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Work in outdoor conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Climb ladders and work at heights.
• Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
